Board of Directors and Officers

Director & Officer- President, Bob Messick (Pictured above right): Former Marine Corps Officer with over 20 years experience navigating the waters of the Chesapeake Bay. Licensed U.S. Merchant Marine Officer (OUPV) from the United States Coast Guard. First Aid and CPR certified by the American Red Cross.

Director & Historical Advisor, Edward Hinman: Naval Academy, class of 99, Former Marine Corps Officer, Masters in American History from Cal State Northridge. Has studied the history of colonial America, to include the Chesapeake Bay. Currently employed in the private sector in L.A. California.


Director: D.L. Trabal: Marine Corps Reserve Officer currently working in the private sector

Officer- Treasurer, David Smith
: Former Marine Corps Officer, married with two children and serves as a procurement manager in the private sector.


Officer- Vice President, Lenny Messick (Pictured above left): Former Marine with over 40 years experience navigating the waters of the Chesapeake Bay. Holds a degree in Business Administration, and a minor in Psychology from the University of Maryland.


Officer- Secretary: Danielle Anderson: Bachelor of Science in the Foreign Service, Georgetown University, May 2002. Master of Public Policy, concentration in Environmental Policy, College of William and Mary, May 2006. Presidential Management Fellow, Class of 2006. Currently working as an employee for the federal government in Washington D.C.

Marine Liaison, Steve Brown: Former Marine, Service Disabled Veteran with over 15 years experience working for a not-for-profit organization. 

Business Advisor, Tonio DeSorrento: Former Marine Corps Officer, holds an MBA from Cameron University and a Law Degree from Georgetown University. Currently practices law in Washington D.C.

Army/National Guard Liaison, David Murphy: Officer in the CA National Guard. Serves as a Sheriff in San Francisco.

Coast Guard Liaison, Chad Baker: Former Officer in the United States Coast Guard. Currently serves as reserve officer in the United States Army. Chad is also an Investigator in Orange County, California.

IT Lead, Kimberly Sims: Bachelor of Science in Information Science and Systems, Radford University, 2003.  CISSP, MCSA, CEH, Security+.

Tax Advisor, Katherine Enright: Attorney. J.D. Boston College Law School, 2005. B.A. Georgetown University, 2002. Admitted to practice in Massachusetts and New York
